Coordinate the property, not just one bill
A rental, holiday home or move to Italy usually involves electricity, gas, water, waste tax and internet with different operators and timelines. At key handover, photograph the meters, record the readings and confirm which services are active and whose name appears on each account.
Recommended order
- check supply status and current account holders;
- collect the latest bills and property address details;
- decide whether a voltura, subentro or new connection is needed;
- plan internet and mobile service before work or guests arrive.
Changing supplier is not always the first priority. Correct account details, realistic readings and an appropriate administrative procedure can be more urgent than a new tariff.
